Popular chicken tender chain Raising Cane’s plans Jacksonville restaurant

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Raising Cane’s, a popular spot for chicken tenders with locations all across the country, has plans to open a new restaurant on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to News4JAX’s news partner the Jacksonville Daily Record.

The Record said the city is now reviewing civil engineering plans for the Baton Rouge, Louisiana-based restaurant in Oakleaf Station.

Plans submitted on March 26 show that Raising Cane’s wants to develop a 2,691-square-foot restaurant and double drive-thru on 1.21 acres at southwest Merchants Way and Argyle Forest Boulevard. It will have inside seating for 52 and patio seats for 30.

The Raising Cane’s site is between Gator’s Dockside and Bank of America in front of the Epic Theatres.

It would be the first location in the greater Jacksonville area.

Raisingcanes.com shows 15 locations in Florida, with the closest in Gainesville and two in the Orlando area.
