That’s Nunnsense: Chicken and Waffles 3 ways

Richard’s unique spin on a Southern brunch favorite

I find it kind of funny when I meet new friends at a local hardware store, dry cleaner, restaurant, or car wash, the conversation usually turns to the weather.

But at the grocery store, our conversations are rarely about the weather! Nope, at the grocery store, the conversation is almost always about food. This leads to the number one question I’m asked, “When are you going to start doing cooking segments again?”

That question also comes up during the holidays, usually through email, from people asking about my Turkey Brine Recipe.

Well, I am getting back to a new segment called “That’s Nunnsense” with a new episode every Friday.

The updated version will be in and out of the kitchen. It will be part hobby, part culinary, part experiment, and a lot of me learning something new with you.

For our News4JAX Insiders, there will be longer versions and you will get to go behind-the-scenes with Rich.

In the first episode, we are going to have some fun with a Southern breakfast favorite — Chicken and Waffles. We are taking this classic staple of diners and Southern kitchens and scaling it down for size and calories. Get ready for three ways to enjoy this breakfast and brunch favorite with a sweet and spicy kick.

My goal is to help you save time and money and learn something new. That’s not nonsense, That’s Nunnsense!
