JSO investigating fatal shooting of woman on Jacksonville’s Northside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal shooting of a woman on the Northside on Tuesday morning.

JSO said a little after 3:30 a.m., a woman in her early 20s was found with a gunshot wound in a house on 800 Hartshill Place on Jacksonville’s Northside.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department transported the woman to a nearby hospital, where she died.

Police said they detained several witnesses, and they are cooperating.
