LAKE CITY, Fla. – A bicyclist suffered a “significant” head injury on Tuesday night after they were involved in a crash near U.S. Highway 90 and Interstate 75 in Lake City.
A driver told the Lake City Police Department that he was headed west on US 90 when he went to switch lanes around 9:30 p.m. The driver said the bicyclist suddenly appeared in his lane, causing them to collide with the vehicle’s front driver’s side.
Another witness also told police that they saw the bicyclist enter the road in front of the vehicle.
The bicyclist was taken to a trauma center.
