Pedestrian killed in crash on State Road 200 in Nassau County, FHP says

NASSAU COUNTY, Fla. – A man died after being struck Saturday evening on State Road 200 in Nassau County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a man driving an SUV hit the 41-year-old man from Michigan, who was walking in the westbound travel lane on SR 200 near Griffin Rd.

Emergency responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. FHP did not release his name.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the full circumstances.
