JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Pro wrestling legend Ric Flair just speculated that son of Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan, Tony Khan could purchase WWE someday if so inclined.

Flair recently was interviewed on The Ariel Helwani show about Tony Khan who owns and operates Jacksonville-based All Elite Wrestling (AEW) which is WWE’s primary competitor.

Khan’s father Shad Khan who owns the Jaguars (among other businesses) is estimated to be worth around $14.9 Billion. WWE merged with UFC a few years ago under the parent company TKO. WWE’s portion of the merger was around $9.3 Billion.

“Tony Khan is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met in my life,” said Flair. “I wouldn’t be surprised, because he has the money to do it, if he doesn’t buy WWE one day.”

“The Khan family’s got more money than God,” Flair added.

It’s unclear if the younger Khan would try and do something like this as he remains a fixture in pro wrestling with AEW. The current media deal for AEW is with Warner Bros/Discovery where they air their programming on TNT, TBS and Max.

WWE airs the majority of its programming on USA, Netflix and CW Network.
