Seeing smoke in Lake City? Firefighters say it’s coming from a brush fire 30 miles away
LAKE CITY, Fla. – If you live in Lake City and wondering what has been causing smoky conditions Wednesday, fire officials say it’s because of a large fire burning 30 miles away.
The fire is located in Mallory Swamp, situated in Lafayette County.
The Lake City Fire Department says the wind is carrying smoke directly to Lake City and similar conditions are expected tomorrow.
