JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – When you are fighting cancer, certain realities set in along the way. One is that there are side effects to chemo. While I didn’t experience the worst, I did have to grapple with one. It caused me to become – how do I put this - proactive.

You also must figure some things out. Like how to productively pass the time while sitting in a long chemo session.

And one more thing, you wouldn’t believe how a Publix grocery shopping bag, yeah, the plastic ones. It becomes a protective cover for a medically necessary device.
