ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The principal of Trout Creek Academy, a K-8 school in St. Johns County, has been placed on administrative leave with pay following an investigation into an allegation of “inappropriate conduct,” according to letters from the St. Johns County School District obtained by News4JAX on Wednesday.
We are naming the principal since she has not been charged with a crime.

The first letter issued to the principal on May 20 informed her she would be placed on administrative leave with pay while the Human Resources Department investigated an allegation of inappropriate conduct.
A second letter, dated May 22, 2026, informed the principal that her administrative leave would continue through the end of her current contract on June 30, 2026, and that the district was moving toward a non-reappointment for the 2026-2027 school year.
During her leave, the principal has also been instructed not to enter any St. Johns County School District property unless directed by Human Resources or school administration.
No additional details about the nature of the alleged inappropriate conduct were disclosed in either letter.
