“We open today with a clear mission: to provide swift, compassionate medical care precisely when our community needs it,” Shaun Ginter, CEO of CareSpot Urgent Care, said in the release.
Eric Fletcher, executive vice president and chief strategy officer at Baptist Health, said the partnership strengthens the health system’s ability to provide “the right care, in the right place, at the right time,” and helps ensure more people have timely access to care close to home.
The center offers a full range of urgent care and occupational health services, including treatment for minor injuries and illnesses; flu, COVID-19 and other respiratory care; immunizations and vaccinations; on-site X-rays and lab testing; and school, sports, employment and pre-op physicals. Employers can access occupational health services. Patients may walk in or schedule online; the center will have extended hours seven days a week, including evenings and holidays.
The opening is part of a longer-term strategy by CareSpot and Baptist Health to expand urgent care access across high-demand communities in Northeast Florida, the release said.
