BRUNSWICK, Ga. – Firefighters and partner agencies extinguished a boat fire Thursday at Brunswick Landing Marina, the Brunswick Fire Department said.
The department said it was dispatched at about 2:13 p.m. and crews arrived at 2:17 p.m. Firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control, and the fire was extinguished at about 2:55 p.m.
No injuries were reported, the department said. The boat owner lost their home as a result of the fire.
The department praised the training, teamwork and coordination demonstrated during the response and thanked assisting agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Glynn County Fire Rescue, the Brunswick Police Department and Brunswick Landing Marina.
