LIVE: Gov. DeSantis signs budget at news conference in Tampa
TAMPA, Fla. – Gov. Ron DeSantis will sign the Florida budget on Monday at a news conference at 9 a.m. Monday in Tampa.
He will be at Hillsborough College to sign the budget ahead of the start of the fiscal year on July 1.
Florida lawmakers had to return for a special session to complete this year’s budget, which was sent to the governor at $114.5 billion. DeSantis has said the budget will be less than that after he uses his line-item veto power.
The signing also comes just days before more than 100 laws are set to take effect in Florida on July 1 .
