Storage unit catches fire on the Westside

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A fire destroyed storage units, according to Jacksonville Fire Rescue.

Authorities say 45 units are involved and there is damage to several other buildings.

Officials say the call came in about a fire at Atlantic Self Storage on Normandy Boulevard and New World Avenue at 1:47 Friday morning.

The State Fire Marshal is on scene investigating.

Roughly 50 firefighters battled the two-alarm fire. No injuries were reported.
