Local Farmers creative offerings and upcoming events

Jacksonvillle – Swallowtail is a family-run biodynamic, regenerative farm in Gainesville. They have a micro-dairy, raise animals and grow vegetables, fruits and cut flowers. They also have educational, family, and dining events from Oct-June. They just opened a small grocery store half a mile from the farm to offer wide range of locally made grown products. The Swallowtail mission is for local families to have access to clean, chemical-free, nutrient dense food.

Eat Your Yard Jax is a non profit edible and medicinal plant nursery and educational center. They also employ individuals with special needs. The Eat Your Yard mission is to educate children & adults and encourage them to grow their own edible plants. They will host a Persimmons Festival the first weekend of November.
