Mandarin OLB Aundre Kearney commits to Virginia Tech
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. –
Mandarin outside linebacker Aundre Kearney had offers from over 10 Division I programs. Saturday he made it official and decided to head north to Virginia Tech. The 6'0" 222-pounder decomitted from Miami in March.
Kearney said that Virginia Tech never stopped calling and once he went on a visit to Blacksburg, he knew that was the school for him. Kearney is also excited about the chance to see a couple of familiar faces, when the Hokies square off against the Hurricanes next fall.
Kearney will also be an early enrollee at Virginia Tech and will be on the field for the start of spring practice.
