JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The News4JAX Varsity 4 Super 6 girls soccer rankings will be published every Thursday during the regular season — except during Thanksgiving and Christmas week. Records are through Dec. 3 games.

1. (1) Ponte Vedra (6-0-1), Class 5A
Quality wins: Bartram Trail, Bishop Kenny, Chiles, Lake Highland Prep, Niceville, St. Johns Country Day.
Notable: The Sharks are reaching elite level play by the Christmas break. They beat St. Johns (2-0) and previously unbeaten Niceville (3-1) since our last Super 6. More difficult tests await before the break, including Creekside and unbeaten Lake Mary. Lily Morse has been sensational (8 goals) and the defense, a Dave Silverberg specialty, is locking teams down (4 goals allowed).
2. (3) Bartram Trail (5-1-2), Class 6A
Quality wins: Atlantic Coast, Beachside, Fletcher, Navarre, Spruce Creek.
Notable: The Bears are rolling, going 4-0-1 since a 2-1 loss to No. 1 Ponte Vedra. They handled Atlantic Coast (3-0) and Fletcher (5-0) since our last Super 6. They’ve got some tough matches before the break, including Bishop Moore, Buchholz and Lake Mary. Junior F Layla Davis and Kendall Underwood have combined for nine goals.
3. (3) Creekside (4-1-2), Class 7A
Quality wins: Bishop Kenny, Fletcher, Gulf Breeze, Viera.
Notable: The Knights went 0-1-2 since our last Super 6, with scoreless draws against Bishop Moore and Beachside and a 3-1 loss to an always difficult Lake Highland Prep. They’ve got Mandarin, Oakleaf and No. 1 Ponte Vedra lined up before the Christmas break.
4. (4) Bishop Kenny (6-2), Class 4A
Quality wins: Bolles, P.K. Yonge, Stanton, St. Johns Country Day.
Notable: The Crusaders drummed Wolfson, P.K. Yonge and Bolles by a combined score of 15-0 since our last Super 6. They’ve got Christ’s Church, Menendez and Episcopal left before the Christmas break. Freshman Shea Donovan has nine goals and Stella Jones follows with five).
5. (2) St. Johns Country Day (5-2-1), Class 1A
Quality wins: Episcopal, Fleming Island, Oakleaf, P.K. Yonge.
Notable: A quality 6-2 win over Oakleaf for the Spartans since our last Super 6. They’ve got a busy schedule before the Christmas break, including tough matchups against Lakeland Christian and All Saints. Victoria Sarka (9 goals, 7 assists), Madyson Bauman (5 goals, 4 assists) and Calli Berang (5 assists, 3 goals) lead St. Johns.
6. (NR) Beachside (5-2-2, Class 5A)
Quality wins: Gulf Breeze, Mandarin, Matanzas, Nease.
Notable: It’s been a really strong start for the Barracudas, including scoreless draws recently against Bishop Moore and Creekside. They’ve also got a high quality win over Gulf Breeze and lost in one-score games to Bartram Trail and Lake Highland Prep.
