JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Varsity 4 News4JAX softball Super 6 rankings will be published Thursday through the end of the regular season with the exception of a week off for spring break. Records are through April 15.

1. (1) Baker County (17-1, Class 4A)
Notable wins: Atlantic Coast (twice), Baldwin, Bartram Trail, Bishop Snyder, IMG Academy, Middleburg (twice), Paxon, West Nassau, Yulee.
Glance: The Wildcats saw a 17-game unbeaten streak end with a 5-2 loss to perennial power Montverde Academy, but that’s no big deal. They’ve been the area’s top team almost from the start. Four good opponents to end the regular season with; West Nassau, Union County, Baldwin and Ponte Vedra. Baleigh Shields (.526, 14 RBI) continues to set the offensive pace. Chloe Johnson (.434) has five homers for Baker County.
2. (2) Columbia (19-3, Class 4A)
Notable wins: Bartram Trail (twice), Branford, Buchholz (twice), Gainesville, Ridgeview, Venice, West Nassau, Williston (twice).
Glance: The Tigers have won six straight games, including three quality Ws since our last update (Bartram Trail, Buchholz, West Nassau). They close out with Santa Fe, Palatka and Branford. Josie Raulerson (.464, 29 RBI, 4 HR), Alannah Lord (.459, 4 HR, 28 RBI) and Luisa Taylor (.448) lead the offense. Emily Delgado has bashed seven homers.
3. (3) Baldwin (16-4, Class 2A)
Notable wins: Atlantic Coast, Bishop Snyder, Episcopal, Middleburg, Paxon, Sandalwood (twice), West Nassau, Yulee.
Glance: The Indians have won eight consecutive games and are looking to win their sixth straight Gateway Conference title. Jazmine Ramos-Merced (.448, 4 HR, 15 RBI), Lily Hubbard (.375, 13 RBI), Hayden Peebles (.375, 14 RBI) and KK Fry (.362, 14 RBI) have carried the offensive load for Duval County’s top team.
4. (5) Creekside (17-3, Class 7A)
Notable wins: Arnold, Baldwin, Bartram Trail, Fletcher, Mandarin, Ponte Vedra, Sunlake, Tocoi Creek, Yulee.
Glance: The Knights bumped their winning streak to nine games with an 8-3 win over rival Bartram Trail since our last Super 6. Presley Brinkley is hitting .482 with three HRs and 19 RBI, all team highs, to lead Creekside. Isabella Seymour is next with .446 with 14 RBI, and 12-3 with a 2.10 ERA and 50 Ks in 100 IP in the circle.
5. (6) Tocoi Creek (18-2, Class 6A)
Notable wins: Beachside, Fleming Island, Fletcher, Keystone Heights, Ponte Vedra (twice), Yulee.
Glance: The Toros have won 10 straight games including a quality W over Fleming Island since our last update. Siena Gallant (.468) boosted her average 63 points since last week. In the circle, Hannah Jones is 14-1 with a 0.71 ERA and 178 Ks in 99 IP.
6. (NR) Atlantic Coast (13-7, Class 7A)
Notable wins: Creekside, Fleming Island, Fletcher (twice), Mandarin (twice), Paxon (twice), University Christian.
Glance: The Stingrays have had a wild season, starting out at No. 1 and then hitting a bit of a rough spot. They return to the rankings this week after rolling into the Gateway title game and topping previously ranked UC (7-2) since our last Super 6. They’ve got a shot at Baldwin on Thursday night. Emma Cano (.507, 10 RBI), Josleen Mendoza (.464, 3 HR, 23 RBI) and Stella Lynton (.446, 22 RBI) lead the offense. Morgan Brown is 12-4 with 99 Ks in 103 IP and a 2.11 ERA.
