Jaguars trim roster to 53 on final day of cuts

The team announced its final list of cuts on Saturday prior to the 4 p.m. roster deadline. All seven of the team's 2019 draft picks made the roster. Two undrafted free agents made the final 53, safety Andrew Wingard and linebacker Joe Giles-Harris.
Jaguars wrap up winless preseason with blowout loss
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Next up for the Jacksonville Jaguars games that count. The Jaguars put the finishing touches on a clunker of a preseason with a 31-12 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday night at TIAA Bank Field. Minshew finished 11 of 26 for 79 yards and had a quarterback rating of 50.0. For the Falcons, Danny Etling did most of the damage on the Jaguars early leading Atlanta on drives over the first two quarters that put them in front 14-0. The Jaguars sat out 32 players in their preseason opener and 27 in Week 2.
Offense struggles again for Jaguars in loss to Eagles
Philadelphia's third-string quarterback was knocked out of the team's 24-10 preseason victory against the Jaguars on the opening drive Thursday night. The team already was without backup Nate Sudfeld, who broke his left wrist in the team's preseason opener against Tennessee. Minshew, who threw for 46 yards in a 29-0 loss to the Ravens, completed 19 of 29 passes for 202 yards. Eagles defensive tackle Malik Jackson, who spent the last three years with the Jaguars, chatted with Campbell and Fournette during halftime. Jaguars play at Miami, and coach Doug Marrone said at least some starters will play for the first time in the preseason.
