Climbers take on 600 stairs to raise money for American Lung Association
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ Hundreds of people embraced the climb Saturday morning in efforts to help end lung cancer and lung diseases. This is the American Lung Associationโs 13th annual โFight For Air Climb,โ which includes a combination of ramps and stairs at TIAA Bank Field. They have their own stories and climb for their friends and loved ones who suffer from lung cancer and lung diseases. AdโWhether itโs asthma, lung cancer, or other lung conditions, a lot of people are really here to promote lung health in our community and to honor and memorialize those that they love,โ Hughes said. The funds will support research, education and advocacy for anything from lung cancer to clean air.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ Happening Saturday, hundreds of climbers will take to the steps of TIAA Bank Field for the American Lung Associationโs 13th annual โFight for Airโ stair climb. News4Jax spoke to John Finn, who has participated in the climb every year since it began. According to the American Lung Association, nearly 37 million Americans live with a chronic lung disease. โIf you have lungs, you can have lung disease, it really is that simple. AdโItโs usually a pretty quick race, you can do it usually within 10 or 15 minutes, 20 minutes,โ Finn said.
