JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A person struck by a vehicle Friday night on Beach Boulevard just east of Southside Boulevard was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The accident happened at about 10:10 p.m. The driver of the vehicle was on site and cooperating with the detectives. Traffic homicide and crime scene detectives expected the road to remain closed until about 1 a.m. while they investigated.
