The victim told investigators that Lampkins kissed her, asked her to place her hand on his crotch and offered to buy her a sex toy, among other allegations. The victimโs mother told News4Jax at the time that she was devastated after learning of the allegations. Powers said Lampkins was later allowed to resume regular duties when those allegations did not lead to criminal charges.

According to the arrest affidavit, the investigation of Hazouri Jr. began with a tip to National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in early July. Investigators said there was evidence that Hazouri Jr. was sharing child pornography with others online. The documents show that some, non-exploitive pictures of children recovered that appear to have been taken in an education setting, believed to be Mayport Elementary School. If Hazouri Jr. is released, he will have to wear a GPS monitor and have no access to electronic devices or the internet if released.

In a seven-page lawsuit filed Jan. 14, Sheriff David Shoar alleges that former finance director Raye A. Brutnell defrauded the agency by making dozens of payments totaling over $700,000 from bank accounts controlled by the Sheriffโs Office to a series of accounts created for fictitious vendors. It goes on to say that she deposited the proceeds into bank accounts controlled either by herself or her family members. She said she did not realize the magnitude of the fraud until confronted with the dollar amount. Brian Haas, the state attorney for Floridaโs 10th Judicial Circuit, is prosecuting the criminal case at the request of Gov.
