The USS Orleck, which moved from the Hyatt Regency downtown to the Shipyards West area earlier this month, has finally been freed from the mud.

The city council is set to vote Tuesday night on a lease agreement to allow MOSH to build on the site now known as the Museum District on the North Bank.

The USS Orleck, which had been docked outside the Hyatt Regency downtown for more than a year, finally relocated to its permanent home near Bay Street on Monday after several delays.

The fate of Jacksonville’s waterfront with the Shipyards project is now in the hands of the City Council.

The Downtown Investment Authority on Wednesday voted unanimously to approve $114 million in incentives to help bring Jacksonville Jaguars Shad Khan’s vision of a Four Seasons and other amenities along the St. Johns River to life.

We should learn Wednesday if the proposed Shipyard project on the Northbank will move ahead.

There is one part of the proposal that calls for moving a portion of Metropolitan Park west toward downtown and developing a new park along the riverfront.
