The man who pleaded guilty to first-degree murder will face death for killing his roommate’s 25-year-old girlfriend and putting her body in a plastic storage bin in 2019.

A man who was accused in the gruesome death of a 25-year-old woman at a Southside apartment complex pleaded guilty to murder charges on Thursday.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A grand jury in Duval County on Thursday returned indictments charging three men with first-degree murder in three separate cases, according to a news release from the State Attorney’s Office. He’s accused of killing a Jacksonville woman and stuffing her body into a storage bin. Jacksonville police said the body of the woman -- 25-year-old Aisha Levy -- was found inside an apartment at Green Tree Place on the Southside. Paul DixonPaul Dixon, a convicted murderer, is charged in the death of his cellmate in the Duval County jail. Now that Fishburne, Dixon and Westfall have been indicted for first-degree murder, the State Attorney’s Office has 45 days to decide whether to seek the death penalty.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The man suspected of killing a Jacksonville woman and stuffing her body into a storage bin to conceal the crime was arraigned Monday on murder and related charges. Markas Dane Fishburne, 25, of Indiana, pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder, evidence tampering and firearm possession charges in the death of 25-year-old Aisha Levy. Levy was found dead Dec. 20 inside an apartment at Green Tree Place on Jacksonville’s Southside. Her body had been wrapped up and stashed inside a plastic bin located inside a closet. Once police obtained a warrant to search the apartment, they discovered Levy’s body.

But she was a beautiful person," Marlow Levy said. She was just one of those kids that were happy most of the time," Marlow Levy said. Marlow Levy said he was at the airport Friday when he got a phone call, saying his daughter was missing. Marlow Levy said his daughter "was our family’s princess.” He shared that he’s grateful for his last conversation with her the night before she died. And so if that’s our last words, then I guess I’m OK with that," Marlow Levy said.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man charged with murder in the death of a Jacksonville woman who was found last week inside a blood-covered Southside apartment has a history of violent attacks, court records show. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said Levy’s boyfriend came home from work and discovered the apartment stained with blood. Fishburne told investigators that he and Levy had an “altercation," according to the arrest report. Previous violent accusationsCourt documents show that earlier in 2019 another Jacksonville woman filed for a protection order against Fishburne after at least two instances of violence. The woman said Fishburne would lock her in the closet, take her phone and even forced her to have sex with him.

Kent Fishburne, who identified himself as Fishburne’s father, told News4Jax that involved him. Inside the apartment, investigators found a young woman who they said they believe had been killed during a struggle. The Sheriff’s Office said the young woman was believed to be the girlfriend of the man who first discovered the scene. A lot of it just don’t make sense to me," Kent Fishburne said.
