A volunteer firefighter with the Hilliard Fire Department has died after suffering a medical emergency while battling a brush fire, according to Nassau County Fire and Rescue Chief Brady Rigdon.

Deputies with the Nassau County Sheriff’s Office responded to an anonymous bomb threat at Callahan Middle School on Thursday afternoon.

A 65-year-old man was hit by a car and killed early Tuesday morning on U.S. 1 in St. Johns County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Two people were injured, one seriously, in an all-terrain vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Nassau County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
