A Ridgeview High School teacher was arrested and placed on administrative leave after Clay County Sheriff’s Office investigators said he sent sexually explicit messages and photographs to a student on social media.

A student at Ridgeview High School was arrested and accused on Thursday of having a loaded 9mm semi-automatic pistol in his car, which was parked on school grounds, the Clay County Sheriff’s Office said.

Bus driver shortages in Clay County are causing delays for students in several neighborhoods, frustrating families who rely on timely transportation. A mother, who wished to remain anonymous, told News4Jax that the delays have become a daily issue. “It’s been an everyday thing. It went on for a whole week and it was very cold outside,” she said.

The father of a 15-year-old student at Ridgeview High School said he received a disturbing phone call Monday morning from the school.

Gov. Ron DeSantis was at Ridgeview High School on Thursday where seven Clay County teachers received the Civics Seal of Excellence Endorsement, which comes with a $3,000 check.

A Ridgeview High School student was selected to receive a college scholarship, Clay County District Schools announced Wednesday.

Kenyatta Hogan was the only girl who played on the boys football team at Ridgeview High School. She is also on the track and weightlifting teams, in the band and the TV production program.
