Tilly arrived at SAHS as part of a group of 17 Yorkies and other toy breeds after their breeder passed away without clear arrangements for their care. She will be spayed prior to placement so she can enjoy life as a beloved pet—never again viewed as an asset used for breeding.

Embracing Animal Shelter Diversion program with St. Augustine Humane Society

The St. Augustine Humane Society introduced Ramsey, a 5-month-old Pit Bull mix, who is eagerly awaiting adoption. Ramsey’s story began on a somber note when he was abandoned in a dog crate in the backyard of an elderly individual’s home this past Christmas. Fortunately, the senior citizen’s relatives, who are pet owners themselves, stepped in to rescue Ramsey and ensure he received the care he needed.

Bobby and Vicki are six-month-old siblings. They are living and breathing examples of what happens when SAHS is able to Share The Love. Bobbie and Vicki started their journey with SAHS in a cardboard box in the rain. Their life’s journey was not certain, but because St. Augustine Humane shared the love with these guys, look at them six months later. From now until February 11, 2025, just in time for Valentine’s Day, everyone can bid on a wonderful present for that special person in their life and help the unfortunate pets in our community.
