Man accused of raping Oklahoma County detainee arrested in St. Johns County: authorities
Members of the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals service arrested a man accused of raping a woman who was reportedly handcuffed to a cell wall while he was being processed at the Oklahoma County Detention Center, law enforcement confirmed Tuesday to News4JAX.
US Marshals arrest St. Augustine man wanted in rape of teen
A 25-year-old St. Augustine man suspected in the rape of a 13-year-old girl was arrested Friday in Suwannee County, authorities said. Marshals Task Force and Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office took Hunter Dylan Jones Buck into custody after locating him in Live Oak, the St. Augustine Police Department tweeted Friday afternoon. At last check Friday, he remained in custody at the Suwannee County jail, where he’s being held without bond. AdPolice previously told News4Jax the man had been contacting the girl on social media about a week before the attack. AdThe man, whom police have identified as Buck, took off when the teen’s mother got home.
Ponte Vedra McDonald’s targeted by scammer pretending to be U.S. Marshal
PONTE VEDRA, Fla. – A McDonald’s in Ponte Vedra was the target of a scammer who appears to have made other calls around St. Johns County. News4Jax crime and safety expert Ken Jefferson says law enforcement officers will never call a business and tell its employees that it’s under investigation, especially a U.S. Investigators said he even gave the restaurant manager the general information phone number to the U.S. St. Johns County deputies said the fake marshal threatened to shut down the restaurant if the manager didn’t comply with the investigation. “A law enforcement agency is not going to tell you take money and drop it off somewhere or bring it somewhere," Jefferson said.
