Wrapping paper, ribbons and wet roads

. (.)

Update 9:00 p.m.  Areas of light rain and showers continue for St. Johns and Clay Counties, currently just south of WGV and Green Cove Springs.  This stuff will not get in the way of those special Christmas deliveries.

If you are traveling on Christmas Day for family, friends and fellowships, expect wet roads along with the ribbons and bows.

Scattered showers will accompany early gift giving and breakfast beverages mostly along I-75 around sunrise then spreading east after the wrapping paper has been picked up.

Rain with thunderstorms will develop along the cold front around 10 a.m. hitting the widespread peak chances during around noon followed by scattered showers through sunset.

Showers with isolated storms will be possible through mid-day Tuesday. Cloudy skies with drier conditions Wednesday followed by the potential for frost and areas of freezing temperatures late next week and through the weekend.
