JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Not nearly as dry as yesterday afternoon, with stormy weather expected to kick in this afternoon as sea breezes collide after 4 p.m. Storms will move towards the beaches as sunset approaches. Could see heavy downpours, gusty winds and frequent lightning.
A severe thunderstorm waring has been issued for St. Johns County until 5:45 p.m.
Tonight: temperatures in the low 80s under partly cloudy skies.
Friday and into the weekend: hot temperatures plus the humidity will keep the heat index top of mind with afternoon showers each day.
Tropics are quiet for now, but there’s some Saharan Dustin the forecast.
