Another very hot day and wet for some

. (.)

Expect another classic late-June day across Jacksonville with a hot and increasingly humid afternoon. We’ll start with plenty of sunshine this morning before a mix of sun and fair-weather cumulus clouds develops through the day. High temperatures will climb into the mid 90s, but it’ll feel closer to 100 to 105 degrees thanks to the humidity, so be sure to stay hydrated if you’re spending time outdoors. Most locations will stay dry through much of the afternoon, with only a slight chance for an isolated shower or thunderstorm late in the day. Any storm that does develop could briefly produce heavy rain, gusty winds, and frequent lightning before quickly moving on. Skies become partly cloudy tonight with warm, muggy conditions continuing and lows settling into the mid-70s.
