Scattered showers and thunderstorms are developing across northeast Florida and southeast Georgia. The Atlantic sea breeze is approaching I-95 and will collide with the storms, leading to strong to isolated severe storms with locally heavy rainfall, damaging wind gusts and lightning.
These will continue from the beaches to near and along I-95 before slowing drifting west and weakening after 8 p.m. The heaviest rain is expected west of I-95 and the River.
A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday with Advisories and Warnings possible on Sunday and into next week..
In the tropics: The two areas of potential development are unwinding as they move into dry air and increasing wind shear.

Saturday: Hot and humid. Heat Advisory, Heat Warning 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. Heat indices up to 110 degrees. Isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m., 30-50 percent. Morning lows in the 70s to low 80s. Afternoon highs in the 90s inland, upper 80s to low 90s along the beaches. Wind: W/SW 5-10 mph.
Sunday: The heat continues with possible heat advisories. Isolaated afternoon showers and thunderstorms, 20 percent. Morning lows in the 70s with highs in the mid to upper 90s inland, upper 80s to 90s along the beaches. Feels Like temperatures 105-110 degrees. Wind: WSW 5 -10 mph.
