JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tuesday, Aug. 30, is National Beach Day and we are shouting about how much we love our beaches from the rooftops!
There are exactly 189 beaches across the state of Florida. Duval County alone has more than 22 miles of beautiful beaches.
While we encourage everyone to celebrate today with fun and relaxation — today is meant to make sure this natural resource is kept clean for future generations to enjoy.

One simple reminder — leave the beach cleaner than you found it. Bring an extra bag and fill it with debris you find while walking on the beach.
If you drop trash, pick it up. Do your park!
