Titans fan who suffered cardiac arrest after Jaguars game discharged from hospital

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Titans fan who collapsed following the Jaguars and Titans game in January has been discharged from the hospital. Alexis Prue’s husband, Andrew, posted a video on his social media page Thursday of her thanking everyone for their prayers and support.

The Tennessee Titans replied to Andrew Prue’s post with three blue hearts. Just this past weekend he told News4JAX reporter Scott Johnson that his wife started talking again for the first time in seven weeks.

Alexis Prue went into cardiac arrest hours after the game at TIAA Bank Field and was rushed into intensive care on Jan. 8. Her husband told us Thursday that after 53 days in Jacksonville hospitals, his wife was released to a rehab center.

“The next steps really are for them to assess Alexis to see how long the rehabilitation will take place,” he said.

Andrew Prue says it’s overwhelming to see how much progress his wife has made and that there are things she doesn’t remember.

“I explained that we came to Jacksonville to the game, and I explained to her that you have been in ICU for 47 days, and that kind of, when I explained to her, really hit us both emotionally,” he said. “But I told her it doesn’t really matter how long it took, that’s how long it took for God to heal you and we are on a road to recovery and everything is going to be OK.”

Andrew Prue says he’s very proud of his wife’s upbeat and positive spirit through all this. He says she’s very much aware of the support she’s received from friends and strangers.
