Man carrying gun arrested after trying to get onto bus at Terry Parker High School: DCPS

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was arrested and accused of trespassing on Friday after he boarded a bus at Terry Parker High School, according to Duval County Public Schools (DCPS).

DCPS said the trespasser was spotted by security at the Arlington-area school around the time students were dismissed. He was then seen boarding a bus but he was quickly caught by security and school police, DCPS said.

DCPS said the man said he needed to use the bathroom so police escorted him into an administrative bathroom and that’s where they found the gun and confiscated it without incident.

No shots were fired and no one was hurt, DCPS said.

No other information was immediately available.
