COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. – A 55-year-old man from Lake City died Friday evening following a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle in Columbia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to FHP, the man was driving an ATV on private property, north of SW Windswept Glen, when the vehicle failed to navigate a turn.

The ATV then struck a tree, troopers said.
Following the crash, first responders transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
According to the FHP report, the man was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
