Crescent City man charged with threatening to kill Trump, ‘blow the White House up’

CRESCENT CITY, Fla. – A Crescent City man was charged with two counts of threatening to kill President Donald Trump and “blow the White House up,” the Department of Justice said.

The DOJ said Ryan Brown, 27, sent a message on April 16, to whitehouse.gov, directed to Trump, threatening to blow the White House up in a week’s time.

On May 25, Brown sent another message saying in part that he would kill the president in cold blood.

Brown faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in federal prison if convicted of both counts.
