JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison after attempting to entice a 13-year-old child — who was actually an undercover FBI agent — to engage in sexual activity.
Orlin Eli Gonzalez, 27, was also ordered to serve 10 years of supervised release and to register as a sex offender. He pleaded guilty June 17.

Undercover operation
Beginning Aug. 28, 2025, an FBI agent conducted an undercover operation on a social media app to identify adults seeking to engage in sexual activity with minors. The agent posed as a 13-year-old girl.
According to court documents, an app user going by the name “Orlean” made contact with the undercover agent and, after being told the “child” was 13 years old, began asking about her sexual experience, requested nude photos and asked if she wanted to have sex.
“I wanna see you naked,” Gonzalez texted the undercover agent, according to court documents. Further investigation by the FBI identified “Orlean” as Gonzalez.
Arrest
On Sept. 4, 2025, Gonzalez confirmed plans to meet the “child” at her home in Jacksonville for sexual activity, asking her to provide her address. That afternoon, agents observed Gonzalez biking toward the agreed-upon location.
Upon his arrival, Gonzalez was arrested by FBI agents. He has remained in federal custody since his arrest.
