Man, 20, dies after shooting outside Englewood convenience store

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man shot Friday night outside an Englewood convenience store has died, according to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office records.

Sgt. Grossman, with the Sheriff's Office, said police were sent about 6:45 p.m. Friday to the Welcome Food Store, a convenience store located near the intersection of Spring Glen and Kennerly roads.

Grossman said a man with a gunshot wound was taken to a hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Sheriff's Office records show the 20-year-old man later died. His death is being investigated as a murder.

There was no description of the shooter.
