First 8U softball World Series champs from St. Johns

The Crushers 8U All Star Softball team brought home World Series champion hardware after crushing the competition in the tournament. It is the first World Series Championship for that age group to come out of St. Johns. Comprised of 12 young ladies, the team came together to play 70 games this season. After winning state, the team and their families made the trek to the tournament with high expectations. Their play earned the team the big trophy, multiple awards for one of their players, recognition from other teams and coaches. It also allowed them the opportunity to meet and make friends that they will have for a long time.
