Jacksonville – Jacksonville native KaMillion is an independent artist, writer, and producer bringing her first feature film, DEON, to life through grassroots community support. Inspired by her own experiences and her family legacy, including her great-grandmother Lena Baker, KaMillion created DEON to tell a powerful story about resilience, survival, and family through the eyes of a young woman aging out of foster care.
By producing the film locally, she is creating opportunities for Jacksonville talent and helping build the city’s independent film industry to national recognition. Community members can support the project and be part of history by donating to the Go Fund Me film fund and helping bring this impactful story to the screen. www.gofundme.com/u/jaxcinemaproductions
