JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The News4JAX Super 6 girls high school basketball rankings will be published each Tuesday — except during Christmas week — through the regular season. Records are through Dec. 11.

Rank, School, Record, Classification

1. (1) Providence (8-0, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Beachside, Bolles, Madison County, Orange Park, Ridgeview, Trinity Catholic.

Glance: Great week for the Stallions. They beat Beachside (44-41), Hilliard (57-23) and previously unbeaten Orange Park (59-45). have been red hot to start the season. Coach Gigi Bistrow’s Stallions are being led by Janie Boyd (13.8 ppg), Janai Jordan (11.1 ppg) and Julianna Baskin (11.5 rpg, 11 ppg). This was a final four team a season ago and they’re racking up high quality wins like clockwork.

2. (2) Bishop Kenny (5-1, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Episcopal, Ribault, Ridgeview, Westminster Academy.

Glance: The Crusaders went 2-0 since our last Super 6, handling Episcopal (61-34) and previously ranked Ribault (62-36). G Riley Talbert (11 ppg), F Clare Coyle (10.3 ppg, 8.7 rpg) and G Kathleen Crawley (8.5 ppg) have led Kenny as its offense has gotten moving over the last five games. There have definitely been some offensive lulls this season for the Crusaders. There’s a big one looming against No. 4 Paxon on Saturday.

3. (3) Bolles (6-1, Class 4A)

Notable wins: Dougherty (Ga.), Holy Innocents Episcopal (Ga.), Paxon, Raines.

Glance: The Bulldogs went 2-0 since our last Super 6, including a 67-50 win over previous No. 4 Paxon. Abby Knauff is the big name, but Bolles has depth behind her. Presley Norman led Bolles with 18 against Paxon and Evie Freeman had 19 to lead the way in a win over Tocoi Creek.

4. (5) San Jose Prep (6-2, Class 3A)

Notable wins: Florida High, Ribault.

Glance: The Storm have won six straight, Not a deep roster of high quality wins yet but San Jose Prep has talent and went 16-6 a year ago. Oakleaf is up next on Dec. 20.

5. (NR) Ponte Vedra (5-2, Class 6A)

Notable wins: Bartram Trail, Creekside, Beachside, Ridgeview.

Glance: The Sharks have won four straight games and move into our Super 6 for the first time this season. There’s a big one on Tuesday night at home against No. 3 Bolles before a trip to Oakleaf on Dec. 15.

6. (NR) Orange Park (6-1, Class 6A)

Notable wins: Fleming Island, St. Johns Country Day

Glance: The Raiders have been solid this season behind Piera Alexander, Mychaela Parker and Hailey Revak, players are collectively averaging 33.5 ppg. Parker is also pulling in 10.5 rebounds a game.

Dropped out

Mandarin (5-1, Class 7A); Paxon (4-2, Class 4A).
