Buc-ee’s celebrated the grand opening of its newest store Tuesday in Brunswick.

As always, the 2023 year was an eventful one for Florida.

A website is offering to pay someone $1,000 to find the best road trip snacks at Buc-ee’s.

The new Marion County location in Florida, scheduled to open in 2025, will be located near Interstate 75, north of Ocala, and will feature an 80,000-square-foot travel center.

WORLD GOLF VILLAGE, Fla. – The Texas-based chain known for operating the world’s largest convenience stores opened its first travel center in Florida early Monday morning. Kristi Gamble left her Orlando home about 1:30 a.m. not to miss being there when the store opened. The new location on World Commerce Parkway in St. Johns County is 52,600 square feet and has 104 fueling positions. More than 2,000 people signed a petition opposing the development in 2019, citing traffic concerns and a worse quality of life. “But that’s what development is for, it highlights this area right over here that it can be a stop -- as long as it is managed well.”AdJill Olsen, who lives just down the road, is even more concerned.

AUGUSTINE, Fla. – It’s been in the works for awhile, and News4Jax learned Thursday that Buc-ee’s in St. Johns County will be open before month’s end. Specifically, the convenience store is planning to open its doors on Feb. 22, on schedule with its construction plan. The 104-pump station will be located off I-95 at International Golf Parkway. Buc-ee’s bought the nearly 14-acre St. Johns County site in November 2017.
