Two Putnam County Sheriff’s Office deputies are facing charges after they were accused of falsifying timecards and stealing more than $8,000 in pay for unworked hours.

A Florida sheriff says 41 people are charged with dozens of crimes in an effort to take down the leadership of a group called the Sex Money Murder gang.

Eighteen Putnam County law enforcement and corrections deputies are quarantines Monday after 16 of them tested positive for COVID-19. Daily medical evaluations of inmates in Putnam Countys correctional facilities also identified one experiencing symptoms, who was immediately quarantined and has tested positive. We anticipated that this would affect Putnam County as well and we have been in preparation for this since the beginning of the outbreak, Wells said. Every inmate in the Putnam County Jail receives a thorough medical evaluation upon arrival and daily for the duration of their stay.Proactive inmate testing will continue as recommended by the Florida Department of health. Only essential personnel are permitted inside the jail at this time and every person entering the jail must undergo thorough medical screening.

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. - A woman was killed in a car crash late Saturday night just north of Florahome, FL after another driver struck her vehicle from behind, according to Putnam County Sheriff Office,PCSO says the 74-year-old victim and Joshua Williams, 30, were both traveling northbound on Coral Farms Road, approaching Thornton Lane around 10 p.m.That's when Williams's C Class Mercedes struck the victims' Hyundai Santa Fe, causing her SUV to crash into a tree on the right shoulder. She was killed in the crash. Williams' C Class also struck a tree on the left shoulder of Coral Farms Road. PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. - Putnam County deputies received new uniforms on Tuesday that will help the sheriff's office save money, stay safe and improve efficiency, a release from PCSO said. One change includes deputies wearing vests on the outside of their uniform and not under the shirt. "Research has shown outer-worn vests cause a more moderate impact on the deputies' body temperature than vests worn under the uniform," a release said. "Vests worn under the uniform result in dangerous core temperatures during times of physical exertion and prolonged exposure to the high temperatures we experience in Florida." The new uniforms are less expensive than the current duty uniforms and the improved material blend is more durable than the polyester uniforms, which frequently require expensive replacement, PCSO said.

The actress and former political pundit was arrested Sunday after allegedly slapping and pushing her husband during an argument at a home in New Port Richey, Florida, the court documents state. Her husband's name was redacted in an incident report obtained by CNN. She posted bail and was released on Monday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Pasco County Sheriff. A public defender was appointed to represent her after she told the court that she couldn't afford to hire her own attorney, the court documents said.

The "Clueless" actress was taken into custody after an argument with a male, whose name was redacted in an incident report obtained by CNN. The report states that police were called to a home Sunday evening "to respond to a domestic dispute" between the two. Dash was taken into custody and transported to the Land O' Lakes detention facility without incident. She posted bail and was released on Monday morning, according to a spokesperson for the Pasco County Sheriff.
