Woman in motorized wheelchair robs downtown Jacksonville bank
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ A bank located blocks away from the Jacksonville Sheriffโs Office headquarters was robbed Monday by a woman in a motorized wheelchair, authorities said. The bank robbery was reported about noon at the Regions Bank branch on Bay Street near Laura Street. Police said the woman showed up to discuss an account, but she got into an argument with a teller that escalated when she threatened to kill everyone in the bank and announced she was robbing the place, according to the Sheriffโs Office. The woman left the bank after she was given some cash, and she was taken into custody nearby a short time later, police said. No weapon was seen during the robbery, according to police, and no one inside the bank was hurt.

Police: Man dressed in all black robs Beauclerc bank at gunpoint
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. โ An armed man dressed in all black robbed a bank in the Beauclerc neighborhood on Tuesday, the Jacksonville Sheriffโs Office said. Just after 3 p.m., according to police, the man entered the Regions Bank on San Jose Boulevard, just south of Beauclerc Road, pulled out a black semiautomatic handgun and demanded money. Police said the man took off south on San Jose Boulevard after the teller handed over money. Police said the man, who appeared to be 25 to 30 years old, was wearing black sweatpants and a black hoodie, with his face partially covered. He was described as being about 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighing 140 to 150 pounds.
