Woman, 73, dies in T-bone crash at Flagler County intersection

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A woman was killed Monday evening in a T-bone crash at an intersection in Flagler County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said the crash was reported just after 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Royal Palms Parkway and Rickenbacker Drive.

According to the FHP report, a 73-year-old Palm Coast woman driving an SUV was at a stop sign on Rickenbacker Drive, attempting to turn left at Royal Palms Parkway.

Troopers said the woman pulled into the path of an oncoming SUV that was headed west on Royal Palms Parkway, and the second SUV T-boned the woman’s SUV.

The woman, who was wearing a seat belt, died at the hospital.

The 32-year-old Palm Coast man driving the second SUV suffered minor injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
