Blooms, birds, showers and storms

Sunny and breezy start to the weekend

. (.)

It’s feeling and looking like spring.  Flowers are blooming and we will soon have some temporary neighbors as the Bluebirds have been inspecting the birdhouse.  Speaking of blooms, Mother Nature will water our plants tomorrow and bask them in the sun this weekend.

Friday we will be cloudy with rain and isolated thunderstorms then clearing late, 80 percent.  Scattered showers will develop before sunrise with widespread chances increasing between noon to 4 p.m.  Scattered showers will slowly dissipate after 8 p.m. Temperatures will remain near seasonal Friday but will be a little cooler and breezy Saturday.

As the sun and warmer temperatures return, so will the birds. Be on the lookout for the fleeting yellow color of the Palm Warbler in your trees and shrubs. Striking orange and black may also catch your eye as the American Redstart return and forage. If you have a small birdhouse you may also see some Bluebirds looking for a Spring home.

Get some birdseed, binoculars and a comfortable seat as the seasonal bird show is just getting started.
