Heat and Humidity Build as Showers Return This Weekend

Heat advisories possible as temperatures soar into early next week

. (.)

Hot and humid as the Atlantic sea breeze starts the afternoon inland migration. The radar is currently dry, but will not remain that way. Isolated showers and thunderstorms will develop over the next few hours. A similar pattern will continue through Friday with increasing rain chances this weekend. Heat Advisories will be possible Sunday and Monday as the forecast remains unsettled.

The Gulf breeze remains the dominant feature through the weekend, pinning the Atlantic breeze closer to I-95 and the beaches. Locally heavy rainfall, gusty wind and frequent lightning will be the main hazards.

The heat and humidity combination builds Sunday and early next week with Heat Advisory conditions possible Sunday and Monday.
