Tropical Storm Bertha makes landfall for the second time along the Gulf coast.

The center of Tropical Storm Bertha has moved inland near the Texas-Louisiana border. Heavy rain will spread along portions of coastal Texas.

Tropical Storm Bertha is located near latitude 29.9 North, longitude 93.8 West. Movement is toward the west near 10 mph and an increase in forward speed is expected over the next 24 hours.

On the forecast track, the center of Bertha will move across portions of eastern Texas during the next several hours.

Maximum sustained winds remain near 45 mph.

Bertha is expected to weaken and is forecast to dissipate early Friday.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 160 miles south of the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb.

A Tropical Storm Warning is in effect for the Gulf Coast from Morgan City, Louisiana to Sargent, Texas.
