Our sweltering summer days continue, with possible Heat Advisories this weekend.
We’ve gone from sizzling to scorched as heat and humidity combine for Feels Like temperatures up to 108 degrees today. The pattern continues Saturday with increasing chances of rain, cooling us off by a couple of degrees on Sunday.
A cold front will slide south, slowing over southeast Georgia on Sunday. Sea breeze showers and storms will be possible on Saturday, as the front will provide better chances of rain area-wide. Strong to isolated severe storms will be possible. Locally heavy rain, damaging winds, and lightning will be the main concerns.
Temperatures will remain above normal this weekend, with highs in the mid to upper 90s on Saturday. A Heat Advisory will be possible across all of NE FL and coastal SE GA, with peak heat indices of 107-110F, while inland SE GA will peak around 103-107F.
Tonight: Isolated inland showers and thunderstorms will be possible through around 10 p.m.
Saturday: Possible Heat Advisory. Hot and dry with scattered showers and thunderstorms, 30-40 percent. A warm start with lows in the 70s to low 80s. Afternoon highs in the low to mid 90s inland, upper 80s to low 90s along the beaches. Wind: S/SW 5-15 mph.
Sunday: Scattered showers with thunderstorms will develop along a slow-moving cold front. Rain chances will average 50-70 percent. Lows in the 70s to low 80s. Highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s. Wind: NW/SW 10-15 mph.
