Hot and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms and more to come this weekend.
The steady onshore flow will provide the push for rounds of showers and thunderstorms through sunset tonight. Locally heavy rainfall, lightning and gusty winds will be the main hazards. The first round of showers and storms, currently moving inland, will head west, toward Highway 301 and I-75 through late afternoon.
The next round will develop during the evening, moving across our beaches and I-95 through early evening before weakening after dark. The heaviest rainfall is expected over northeast Florida.
The weekend will bring a broader chance of showers and thunderstorms, including southeast Georgia. Waves of rain could lead to flooding Saturday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected Sunday late afternoon, early evening.
The temperatures will climb to above seasonal averages next week with possible heat advisories.

Saturday: Becoming cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, 60-80 percent. Lows in the 70s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s to low 90s inland, 80s along the beaches. Wind: SE 10 - 15 mph. Partly cloudy with patchy fog overnight.
Sunday: Not as wet with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and early evening, 30-60 percent. The pattern will be a little drier with sea breeze showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. Lows in the 70s. Afternoon highs in the low 90s inland, upper 80s along the beaches. Wind: SE 5-10 mph.
Tropics: There are three weak tropical waves as the Atlantic Basin remains quiet. Models are hinting at possible development of an area of low pressure late next week.
